More information >>
Since the inception of the Three Peaks Challenge Walk in 2003, the Dave Owens and Frank Goodall Memorial Fund has consistently raised significant annual sums of charitable donations which go to our four nominated cancer charities. After only 7 years, by 2009 the challenge walks had raised over £100.000.00
This is due to the efforts of the organisation team, the corporate and individual sponsors who pledge money to the cause, and of course to the sponsored walkers who take part in the challenge walk every year. Below are some of the photos taken on our previous walks since our first challenge walk in 2003.
After walking the three peaks of Yorkshire for four years from the very first in 2003 to 2006, the challenge walk was shifted to the beautiful countryside of the Chatsworth House Estate and surrounding areas of Derbyshire. The less demanding nature of the course
At this time a two-distance walk format was introduced to provide a 22 mile walk for the experienced and keen walking enthusiasts, and a shorter 8 mile walk which was more suited to less energetic walkers who wished to participate in the days events. The shorter walk also enabled the involvement of families with younger children, and broadened the scope of the challenge walk, providing a full enjoyable day for all.
If you wish to take part in our next challenge walk please visit our downloads page where you can obtain the Walk Application Form (FULL Information Document) which will provide all relevant details about the walk, and an application form to take part.
