Oesophageal Patients Association
AMOUNT DONATED £ 1,155.36
I am writing to acknowledge your donation of £1,090.36 and also your further donation of £65.00 from the Dave Owens and Frank Goodall memorial Fund in respect of your recent 22 mile and 8 mile sponsored walks in Derbyshire, and to express grateful thanks on behalf of the Chairman and Trustees of the Oesophageal Patients Association for this tremendous gift, and for your continuing support.
Since 1985, the Oesophageal Patients Association has provided nationwide support for people who have cancer (or other major illnesses) of the oesophagus and their families and carers. It is the only organisation of its type in the country. The Association, a registered charity relies entirely upon grants, donations, and other fundraising activity generated in the communities that we serve in order to be able to continue to provide support for people who have this difficult disease.
Once again, our heartfelt thanks go to you for making this further generous donation to the Association this year. Your ongoing support for our work is greatly appreciated.

Marie Curie Cancer Care
AMOUNT DONATED £ 3271.06
It gives me great pleasure to write to you again to thank you for supporting the Marie Curie Cancer Care's Research Institute. This letter acknowledges the £3271.06 which you have donated to us through your annual walk. Can I say a huge thank you on behalf of everyone involved with the Marie Curie Cancer Care, especially at the Research Institute.
I understand that this year you enjoyed a different walking challenge and were also given the choice of two walks. Whichever one you took part in it has helped our world class Scientist continue to work hard to discover a cure for this terrible disease. By taking part in this challenge you have provided resources for the Research Institute.

Macmillan Cancer Support
AMOUNT DONATED £ 3271.06
I write both personally and on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support to acknowledge receipt of the sum of £2565.06 here at the Wakefield Office as a result of your annual sponsored walking event which took place last summer. I understand that a further £706.00 was sent to our UK Office as one of your participants Mr Richard Ellis managed to have his sponsorship match funded by HBOS.
As I am sure you are aware this money will make a real difference to people affected by cancer, and with 739 people receiving a diagnosis each and every day in the UK alone, you efforts are really appreciated. Indeed, Macmillan Cancer Support could not function without people like yourself and your team mates raising such funds.
Once again, thank you for your continued support of this very worthy cause, and I look forward to hearing from you again in the near future.
